To be honest, we must stop taking life so seriously.
We spend so much of our time worrying about what people think, what we should be doing, where we should be in life, whether we’re doing enough, achieving enough, being enough.
And somewhere along the way, we forget to LIVE.
When was the last time you did something completely silly just because you could?
When was the last time you laughed until your belly hurt?
Danced around the house with absolutely no rhythm? Me all the time
Sang loudly in the car?
Went somewhere just because you felt like it?
Tried something you’ve never done before?
Played like a child without worrying about looking ridiculous?
Life isn’t meant to be one long list of responsibilities, yes, we have bills, yes, we have challenges, yes, sometimes life throws things at us that are difficult, painful and unexpected.
But that doesn’t mean we have to carry the weight of the world on our shoulders every single day. Sometimes you need to put the seriousness down.
Take a breath, laugh, be ridiculous, get outside, get your feet in the grass, dance in the rain, make a mess, try something new.
Say YES to an adventure, and if someone thinks you’re being silly, so what.
They’re living their life, and you’re living yours. Don’t wait until everything is perfect before you allow yourself to have fun. Don’t wait until you’ve healed everything, figured everything out, reached the next goal or become the person you think you’re supposed to be. Have fun along the way.
Because maybe the purpose isn’t to have everything figured out. Maybe sometimes the purpose is simply to experience this beautiful, messy, crazy thing called LIFE.
So today, do something silly, do something spontaneous, do something that makes your soul smile, live a little, laugh a little louder, love a little deeper, and stop worrying so much about whether you’re doing life right. There is no perfect way to live.
Just LIVE.
And remember, your life is yours to create, so go out there and create something worth smiling about.
I Love you
Johan xo
